Choose a color, and close the fonts window. At the top of the font window, on the far right side, there is a small square icon (usually white, the background color) with a little page icon next to it. Go to the Font Menu, and select 'Show Fonts'(or you can press command + T). It is easy to change the background color of an entry if you know how. How do I change the diary entry background color?
